Damien House - Managing Director
Damien has enjoyed a career in the banking and property sectors for over two and a half decades. He has a deep understanding of transaction structuring optimising the commercial, financial and physical outcomes by integrating all aspects of complex infrastructure.
Expertise
Damien’s key skills include the creation and optimisation of development propositions, especially the practicalities of contractually integrating the design brief, funding and physical building realities, to ensure appropriate risk mitigation and successful completion. Damien has significant expertise in all stages of the property development lifecycle having worked for one of the country’s largest contractors and as CFO of a major developer of social infrastructure.
Damien uses this practical expertise to ensure that projects remain within the realms of “real world” solutions. This provides confidence to stakeholders and ensures efficient and timely completion. Importantly, Damien’s comprehensive skills-set provides the ability to synthesise consultant advice, streamline the documentation process and continue to advise and manage until successful completion, a key success factor for complex projects. Experience
Damien is a Chartered Accountant who has worked in audit, financial control, banking, infrastructure and real estate. Damien has worked in the property and infrastructure development sectors for the last fourteen years with Social Infrastructure Solutions (advisory), Baulderstone (contracting and development) and its spin-off Alba Capital Partners Limited (development). Prior to this, Damien worked for six years in Project & Structured Finance at Westpac and NAB. Damien commenced his career with a cadetship at KPMG where he worked for seven years whilst obtaining his membership to the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
